Tea Party
Herzen House Hotel team would like to invite you to take part in an afternoon Russian Tea party which takes place every Wednesday in our hotel.
We will entertain you with our traditional Russian tea made in a samovar with blinis (pancakes), pies,gingerbread and accompanied with Russian music.
The samovar is the ancient analogue of an electric kettle. Before electricity the samovar was heated with coal and produced boiling water for the mood of the whole family. Modern Russians are big fans of tea, and drank huge amounts of it. It is hard to imagine that one person drank at least 8 cups of tea per sitting.
